Working with a small team of trained responders, you will support clients affected by smaller disaster events such as house fires.
This support will include assessing their short-term needs, providing access to immediate services such as shelter, food, clothing.
Your compassion and caring for those affected will help them focus on the next steps and recovery.
When not responding, you will help your team remain prepared and may get involved with community disaster preparedness initiatives that reduce the impact of disasters in your community.
You are willing to assist people in need in your community and you are able to take on periodic on-call shifts.
